Dear Church Family,

Yesterday was messy and rainy outside, but we had a great service nonetheless!

I failed to mention this during service: this coming Sunday, Feb. 22, we will be voting for our Church Board for the upcoming church calendar year. This year, instead of nominating and voting on individuals, I have asked that our Church Board remain intact for the upcoming year. This is common practice when a new pastor begins so close to board elections. I gave our board members the option to remain on the board or take a much-needed break. Four members, who have served faithfully, have chosen to step away from the board for a season of rest and to serve in other capacities within the church. However, we still must vote as a church. Per the manual, you must be a member of the local church and be 15 years or older to vote.

The vote will be a Yes/No vote to allow the remaining eight board members — Richard Baisden, Barry Robertson, Sandy Hunter, Matt Reid, Elizabeth Reid, Debbie Woodard, Gracie Smith, and Jennifer Houchin — to remain on the Church Board for the upcoming church calendar year (March 1, 2026 – Feb. 28, 2027).

We had a great turnout at our monthly 2nd Wednesday of the month dinner! If you have not yet joined us for one of these evenings, you are truly missing out on a great meal and wonderful fellowship. The next meal will be Wednesday, March 11.

This coming Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 6:00–7:30 PM, will be our kids’ monthly Wacky Wednesday. The theme is Valentine’s Day, so bring your kids and some of their friends for a fun night in the FLC.

Here is your way-too-early save-the-date for our Good Friday service, which will be held on Friday, April 3. This will be a time of reflection on the night Jesus was betrayed and crucified, leaving us eager and excited for Resurrection Sunday (Easter). Service time is still TBD.

This Sunday we will continue our People of Prayer series. Hope you will join us — and bring a friend!
