Matt and I are so excited to be once again working with your teens. We have so many great things lined up already for the summer and the coming months. We truly have a heart for your teens and helping them grow closer to Lord while also growing closer to each other. If you have any question, want to help out, or just want to stop in and say hello we are always eager to talk with you.
When you face things that are out of your control, you need something more than a positive mental attitude. You need faith in God, because he can control it when you can’t.
When you choose to follow Jesus, that decision includes your emotions. Jesus wants to be Lord of how you feel, not just what you think and do. He wants to be Lord of your emotions.
Learning to be gentle is so important for a follower of Christ. Gentleness defuses conflict. It disarms critics. It’s persuasive. It’s attractive. It communicates love.
When sin entered the world with Adam and Eve, we were all corrupted. None of us does what is right all the time. But faith is the key to victory. The greater our faith, the more victory we will experience in our lives.
Focusing on God’s goodness is so important to your life because it gives you perspective on your darkest days, when you need it the most. When you forget God’s goodness, it causes all kinds of difficulties.
If you want to genuinely become a kinder person, you must be willing to be interrupted and take risks.
If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is not a denial. Just because the answer or the miracle hasn’t come yet doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer—or that he’s forgotten you or doesn’t care about you. It simply means “not yet”!
Renew your mind by doing two things: Listen to God’s Word more than the world, and think about what you think about.
Whenever Jesus walks into a room, he fills that room with peace. Do you have rooms in your heart that are full of worry, upset, anxiety, or fear? Those are the rooms you haven’t invited Jesus into.
