Missions

Fulfilling God's Great Commission... Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Campbell’s Labels for Education and Box Tops for Education... Did you know that Old Hickory Church of the Nazarene supports the Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona by participating in Campbell’s Labels for Education and Box Tops for Education? We collect the labels from these products year round and submit them to earn cash for this school. I hope that everyone will take the time to clip a few labels this year and join in these programs. Though each label collected seems to be worth an insignificant amount—working together we can earn a lot of money for this school. In 2005, because of your generosity, the school acquired a 2006 Dodge Stow-n-Go van. In 2006 they received eight Dell computers. The current goal is a 7-passenger minivan (takes 1,500,000 labels). Deposit your labels in the collection containers at our Nazarene World Missions table in the church foyer. Here is more information about each program and links:

  • Labels for Education awards free education equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. Over the years, this program has provided more than $100 million in merchandise to America’s schools. On most of these products you must clip the labels for education symbol and the UPC—connected. If in doubt you can just send the whole label. With other products such as V-8 juice the lid is collected.
  • Box Tops for Education is a program designed to help schools earn cash through everyday activities, such as buying groceries and shopping online, all at no additional cost to you. America’s schools have earned hundreds of millions of dollars through their support of this program and you, too, can help earn cash for Sun Valley Indian School by your participation. You can find the familiar Box Tops coupons on hundreds of your family’s favorite products from General Mills®, Ziploc®, and Kleenex® products, just to name a few. Visit the Box Tops website for a complete list of all participating products. Box Tops has partnered with dozens of popular online stores to help you earn even more cash for our school. At the Box Tops Marketplace, you can shop at over sixty online stores, including Lands’ End, Target, Home Depot, and Gap, just to name a few. Just registering on the site will earn a few points for Sun Valley Indian School and really does not cause a lot of spam or many e-mails.
