All Church Meal & Easter Egg Hunt

    April 14, 2019 @ 11:30 AM
    Family Life Center
Plan to join us for a lunch and Easter Egg hunt immediately following the 10:00 am service on Sunday, April 14. The church will provide barbecue, rolls, sweet and unsweetened tea. Please plan to bring two sides and a dessert to share and bring your family and friends as we enjoy this time of fellowship. The EASTER EGG HUNT will take place directly after our meal.

We are in need of candy for our Easter egg hunt. If you can contribute a bag or two please bring it to the church no later than Sunday, April 7th. A box will be placed on a table just before you enter the doors of the Sunday school hallway. Please make sure each candy is individually wrapped. A reminder that we have several of our little ones with nut allergies, so please refrain from buying candy that contains any type of nuts (peanuts, pecan, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews etc) or peanut butter.

Local Service Opportunities

Christian Community Outreach -- Help feed our neighbors experiencing hunger and volunteer at the Christian Community Outreach Center's Food Pantry. Open shifts are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 10am-1pm, and the schedule is flexible. If you only have an hour to spare, there's an hour open for you! For more information, contact Program Director Kay Hereford Voorhees at 615-847-4496. Together, we are neighbors helping neighbors.

The Community Outreach Center is always in need of the following items and any donation will be appreciated: tuna, Vienna sausages, Spam, canned chicken, spaghetti sauce (canned not jars), spaghetti pasta, Tuna or Hamburger Helper, scalloped potatoes, oatmeal, Jell-O, soups (cream of chicken & cream of mushroom especially, but other kinds welcomed), elbow macaroni, and canned fruit. There will be a donation bin in the main church foyer by the missions table. See Vickie Blackburn with any questions you may have.

Games with the Towers -- All are invited to Old Hickory Towers for board games every second Saturday of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm! This is a fantastic way to get involved in our surrounding community.

Pencil Partners -- Our PENCIL Partnership is with Dupont-Hadley Middle School, helping with after-school tutoring, reading to students, exam proctors, seasonal events, end of year celebrations, etc. We also collect donations for Angel Tree, school supplies, and more. Please see Vickie Blackburn for more information on getting involved.

Box Tops for Education -- We collect Box Tops for Dupont Elementary. You are invited to drop them off at the missions table in the foyer.
