    What Impact Does Praying Have?

    February 10, 2021

    From the Pastor
This week's devotional comes from the Thursday night prayer and devotional led by Richard.

Do our prayers matter? Is intercession a singular event?

    1 Chronicles 5:20
Note the troops were well-trained for battle but in the middle of the battle that surrounded them, but “they cried out to Him during the battle.” The battle was God’s (vv. 20,22)

    Acts 10:30-31
Peter was sent by God to visit Cornelius because Cornelius was praying (v.31). World-wide revival began here!

    Romans 12:11-12
We are to be joyful in our hope, patient in our afflictions and setbacks, faithful in earnest, continual prayer. Oswald Chambers observed, “Think of prayer as the breath in our lungs and the blood from our hearts…[prayer] is not an exercise, it is the life.”

    Job 42:10
Again, Chambers advised, “If you are not getting the hundredfold more, not getting insight into God’s Word, then start praying for your friends…The real business of your life as a saved soul is intercessory prayer.”

Who knows what your prayers will initiate in heaven and on earth?
