KINGDOM KIDS — Fruits of the Spirit — We have a FANTASTIC Fruits of the Spirit Bible Study for Kids K-6th grade. We will all meet in the Sanctuary at 6:45 pm for LIVE worship with the OHN Praise Band, and then we will transition over to Cafe 605 at 7:00 pm for the class time. There will be a Bible lesson, craft, games, and snacks. Location: Cafe 605—Pastor Leasa Williams OHYEAH for Teens — The Exchange — Our teens will be participating in a study called "The Gripping Point" by Craig DeMartino. What do you hang on to when there's nothing left to grab? That's the question explored in this 8-week, DVD-led Bible study that helps teenagers discover how to respond to pain in their lives. Features interviews with leg-amputee and mountain-climbing accident survivor Craig DeMartino and his family, this study is motivating and encouraging while giving pracitcal tips on how to "survive" as a Christian in this secular world. Location: FLC—Pastor Chad St. John Adult Studies — Begin August 11 “Reclaiming the Wesleyan Tradition - John Wesley’s Sermons for Today” — The aim of this study is to help people understand and apply one of our forefathers, John Wesley’s, teachings to their lives. The authors are passionate about returning to the root tenets of salvation. Covering biblically based topics such as sin, grace, justification, sanctification and ethical living, Reclaiming the Wesleyan Tradition explains Wesleyan theology in an easy-to-understand way. Location: Room 200—Barney Woodard “The Life You Always Wanted” — The heart of Christianity is transformation, impacting every aspect of living. This study calls readers back to the dynamic heartbeat of Christianity—God’s power to bring change and growth—and reveals both the how and why of transformation. Paved with humor and sparkling anecdotes, the study seeks to fill an ordinary world with new meaning, hope, change, and joy. Location: Room 201—Shawna Ruffin “Christianity 101” — This study will help readers feel confident in knowing the basics of the Christian faith, and prepare them to study further aspects of the Christian religion and spirituality. Answering fundamental questions such as: What does a Christian believe?, this study aims to strengthen the bond that seeking Christians share in common. Location: Room 202—Pastor Jimmy “The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children” — This book of prayers is ideally sized for parents to transport throughout the day for quick and meaningful talks with God about their grown children’s relationships, faith, struggles, direction, and parenting. This resource unveils the power of prayer to protect, nurture, and guide. Location: Room 204—Ken Tanner Praise Band — Our Praise Band meets to rehearse and to fellowship together.
